The New Normal šŸ˜€

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

There was a time when we all were free like a bird obsessed with many material things.. As a human being didn’t value small little things in life. COVID 19 pandemic just changed the perspective of life. A dreadful period that sends chills down the spine.. Covered with safety kits, covering with masks..and social distancing was the new normal..

This pandemic really taught us the worth of being alive . Each and every single day was like a testimony of survival. Human beings who were known for their freedom were locked inside their homes making everyone helpless..People who required house help and were totally dependent on them struggled doing their household chores.. some realized it’s worth it , but some definitely had a tough time juggling between the household chores, work ..

The New normal in the corporate world was WFH which definitely was a strict No while the pandemic was not a part and parcel of our lives.. But this pandemic showed that we can actually get adapted to the most impossible things in the world šŸŒ.

Definitely we got to know the values of human lives.. People came together for each other’s help and we definitely got to know the world is definitely a better place to live in though there were instances where everyone had to face backlash due to the dreadful disease as no one would dare to be in touch with you..But as time passed by and people realized the real meaning of life and when people did realise that we have to be together to come out of this unforseen situation..things changed.. People changed their perspective,Ā  many people became warriors who protected and helped people in need.

New Adaptive COVID Model

There was a reversal of the role, human beings were shut down behind doors and animals, birds attained freedom..We could see nature reviving itself the scenic beauty of birds chirping around, trees gushing with full swing, animals taking over the pathways enjoying freedom.

People adapting to a minimalistic lifestyleĀ  was the new normal in the Covid-19 pandemic. People tried to enjoy even small little things in their lives.. They spent some quality time with each other which otherwise was not possible due to the hectic schedule.

I remember people making arrangements for the family who were affected with COVID -19 by sending the groceries and food at their doorstep. Providing them medical care when required..Life completely changed for many.. I still remember one of my colleagues who joined the organization got affected by COVID along with his father but unfortunately his father was admitted in a hospital and he had been quarantined in a hotel and his mother was all alone at home . He lost his father but was unable to even have a glance of him leave alone the last rituals. Her mother didn’t have an idea about this and he communicated this great loss to her once he recovered and got back home..It was a shock for her mom , COVID 19 had taken away many loved ones from us. It really has wrecked our lives to the core but it taught us many lessons.

It might be funny but it definitely has taught us to survive in our worst conditions. Many became great cooks 😜..many couldn’t stop fighting with each other šŸ˜‚..and many of them were making memories by spending some great quality time together..

Definitely the new normal is now partying virtually , more face times, surviving with minimal things..giving priority to our loved ones and definitely enjoying each and every minute of our lives..as it counts..

So what is your new normal after the pandemic ?

Do share your thoughts and comments..will love to hear them too ā˜ŗļø

    Hello from the UK

Many thanks for your post. In 2020 the authorities rebranded the ā€˜flu which was why the ā€˜flu almost disappeared from the statistics and COVID 19 took its place. Some of what took place was criminal; there was no reason for people to die alone without their loved ones present.

But it did also give people a chance to reevaluate what is really important as too many were rushing around, not pausing to see the beauty around us or the needs of others.
